Gorlitz’s heavy duty frame, constructed from high tensile steel tubing ensures durability and strength. The compact frame incorporates the entire power plant, including battery, pump, hoses, valve and oil reservoir. As an additional feature the frame is provided with hold downs for the heat iron, fusion unit and facing tool assembly.The above three items are only for the purpose of compact storage and easy transportation to the job site. The space-age designed and patented pump features no external serviceable parts and is directly mounted to the engine. Powered by a dependable 9 HP Honda engine and provided with an electric and recoil starter as a back-up, the pump is capable of generating 5800 psi equivalent to 35 tons of pulling power. The adjustable flow control valve regulates the GPM, operates on 12v dc current and is mounted directly to the hydraulic pump. The permanently attached hand held, toggle switch operated remote control console is provided with a 15’ long cord. The 3/8” diameter, 25’ long hydraulic hoses are supplied with a protective wrap and equipped with flush-faced quick disconnect fittings and dust protectors.

The model 6100 frame is constructed entirely of heat treated aluminum giving it excellent toughness durability and strength. The unit is provided with an oversized rear plate featuring a large opening to disconnect the puller assembly, brackets for a chain stopper and chain idler and individual mounted manifold. The manifold, cylinder and hydraulic hoses are provided with flush mounted quick disconnect fittings and dust covers. Puller housing and blocks, cylinders, wheels and chain stopper are provided with T-handles and/or hairpins for added security. The 4” diameter, 12” long stroke aluminum cylinders are made from aircraft type material to reduce weight, provided with large pistons, chromoly rods and wipers to keep the dirt out and to ensure a long life. This model is recommended to burst and replace cast iron, clay, plastic and orangeburg pipes from 3” to 6” in diameter. In case of short man power the entire hydraulic unit can be assembled or disassembled at the job-side by one person.

Engineered for simplicity, the hydraulic unit features the ability to quickly transform from chain to cable with very little effort. Different holding and pulling jaws for chain or cable sizes are available.
